Our Story

Welcome! We are so glad you’re here. We are Mike and Hannah, and The Gentle Acre began as a simple conversation between us about wanting to eat healthier. We live in a small town where our grocery options and budget can feel a bit limited, and like many people, we’ve always felt that eating well was expensive and complicated. With Hannah's celiac disease and Mike's more flexible diet, we realized that finding simple, healthy, and affordable food that we both loved was a genuine struggle.

Our Journey

Our journey started with a simple plan to take control of our health. We enlisted the help of an AI assistant to create a simple, fresh meal plan and a shopping list that worked for our budget. What began as a tool became a partner in our kitchen, helping us transform basic, wholesome ingredients into the beautiful, delicious meals you see here. From a hearty, nourishing soup inspired by a harvest moon to zesty, golden pickles and comforting chicken sandwiches, we found a way to make healthy food feel exciting and fun.

Our Mission

We believe that eating healthy shouldn't be complicated or exclusive. It should be an achievable goal for everyone, regardless of where they live, what their budget is, or what their dietary needs are. Our mission with The Gentle Acre is to inspire people just like us.
